I'm running Debian/Forky on an AMD64 system running a Plasma desktop.

Since reinstalling Zoom (after a fresh install of Trixie prior to the
upgrade to Forky), which required installing iBus, I have been getting
the following error message every time I log in to my desktop:

Please unset QT_IM_MODULE and GTK_IM_MODULE environment variables and
'ibus-daemon --panel disable' should be executed as a child process of
ibus-ui-gtk3 component.

I was getting those too. I uninstalled all of iBus, fcitx, fcitx5 and one other set of packages to finally get rid of multilingual virtual keyboard support.

I tried following the advice at
https://www.kubuntuforums.net/forum/currently-supported-releases/kubuntu-23-10-mantic-minotaur/post-installation-az/676002-wayland-ibus-warning-messages

which describes the same problem on the same desktop. It appears to have
no affect.

Any ideas?
