Debian 13: Mini Display Port not accessible any more (worked flawlessly with Debian 12)
I switched from Debian 12 to Debian 13 on a metal-body Macbook Model 5,1
(GB Ram, 256 GB SSD) last week. The upgrade worked out of the box vial
Netinstall with the usual tuning (Broadcom wl-driver).
However, I cannot access an external monitor via the Mini Display Port
(Firewire?) any more. This is a serious drawback because of the
display's rather poor resolution (1280 x 800).
The latest Debian12 - kernel supported this port and a second monitor
with slightly higher resolution (1140 x 900) without flicker.
Any ideas how to get the display-port being addressed and functional again?
