That's fine as long as you realize you are in the vast minority.
The thrust of the OP seems to be directed towards the *majority* of
*new* users, who ain't gonna be using Gnus to read this mailing list,
please get real.
Of course, I don't care one way or another about marketing Debian to
Gen-Z (or X?) folks. In fact, haven't not looked it up, I dont even know
to what or whom that term refers.
I do remember, though, when I was young, and I thought my parents' way
of looking at things was obsolete. The world moves on, with or without
you.
And so it goes.
