I just use okular.
It supports more file formats than Evince and offers features like
annotations, text highlighting, and the ability to extract text.

I love okular too, for the same reasons, but "search" lands on the wrong page, and clicking on an internal hyperlink such as a bibliographic citation or equation number lands on the wrong page. But evince is really fast.
