I'd like to install Debian 12 in a GMKtec NucBox M3 PLUS, but the installation cannot find the network connection.
Is this box compatible with Linux? anyone!

Network hardware is sometimes newer than what Debian has support for in
the installer. I had this issue a few years ago, probably with Debian 10
or 11. Workaround was just plugging in my phone (some people call this
USB tethering) to get online and update the system.

I didn't think of using my cell phone's wifi (or there was a reason that was unacceptable), so my solution was buying an aftermarket ethernet card. I got one of these:

06:00.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82576 Gigabit Network Connection (rev 01) 06:00.1 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82576 Gigabit Network Connection (rev 01)

It has two ports, on the off chance one of them dies but the other doesn't.
