It's yours to do as you please. I'm just not used to seeing an absence of symlinks
in /boot/. Etch was the first place I ever found none. All my own Debians have
some to facilitate multibooting using only one enabled bootloader per PC. AFAIK,
one can't put symlinks in a FAT /boot/, or on FAT anywhere else.
