This problem, rather the quest for the solution, has been dormant for a while because I was resigned to reinstalling the OS. Informed consumers and that. Cheers
Although that works, and I removed the Brother drivers with localhost:631, I still get:
comp@Abanormal:~$ sudo apt-get upgrade [sudo] password for comp: Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree... Done Reading state information... DoneE: The package brscan4 needs to be reinstalled, but I can't find an archive for it.
comp@Abanormal:~$after running sudo apt-get update and sudo apt-get update before running the above.
Is reinstalling the OS the only solution to the problem? Comments will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance. -- Stephen P. Molnar, Ph.D. https://insilicochemistry.net (614)312-7528 (c) Skype: smolnar1
