Is the Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E130 your one and only computer? If and when the other memory socket goes bad, you will be in a tough situation. It would be better to get a working computer now, install Debian, migrate your data, and then recycle the E130.


Used equipment is a much better value than new equipment. I prefer computers with Xeon processors, integrated graphics, and ECC memory.
