[Solved] fuse vs. fuse3.

"apt-cache rdepends fuse" identified many packages dependent upon fuse.

"apt-cache rdepends fuse3" identified 3 or 4 packages dependent upon fuse3.
Removed the dependants.  Then removed fuse3.

Then dependancies were resolved by aptitude.  It installed fuse.

That settled the inconsistencies.  Appears that fuse3 can not replace 
fuse for all dependants.
