Why did you get these responses?
It's because your question was so vague, so utterly devoid of information,
that everyone reading the question had to come up with their own
interpretation of WHAT. YOU. WANTED.
If you would like USEFUL answers to your question, next time, please
consider taking a few minutes to write out a question that the people
reading the mailing list can actually understand, and answer in a
useful fashion, without having to speculate about the missing details.
The one thing that you got right was that you said which version of
Debian you're targeting. Good. Keep that up.
Beyond that? Nobody could figure out that you were trying to connect
to an existing proprietary database. Because you didn't tell us that.
