I do too; I've used WU in the past. But Cindy Sue told me about a program that gets its data from the Boulder airport -- I got it to work (after I got my ZIP code right). It's CLI, but I'm working on getting it into the xfce menu system to make it a GUI panel widget. I have xfce's terminal up 24/7, so I think it's going to do just what I was looking for.
I've been in Boulder for 20 or 30 years, and I know what you mean about the 'interesting' weather!
