Seems like an ideal place to put stuff you want running, without having
to do it manually after a reboot, sometimes tying up a terminal screen
for nothing.

I've no clue why sshfs should be a problem, it Just Works, with a lot
less fuss than CIFS/SAMBA, doesn't throw away perms like they do and I
have yet to crash it mid copy like NFS is rather fond of doing. So I
haven't setup an NFS share in quite a few years now.
Between a login shell and sshfs, I have the complete run of all 5
computers on my local net. From this keyboard.

But sshfs has nothing to do with heyu. heyu's problem that keeps it out
of the FOSS distributions is the license. I'm not running a reactor
with it so it doesn't bother me a bit.

I could I suppose ask on the heyu list, but this did work for what, 5
years on wheezy and about as long on ubuntu.
