The templates where created in beginng of last year when I was in
Strasbourg and since then I had no real time to care about any
informatics including backups, because my intranet server is
currently off-line

I have NOT upgraded!

Since I run for security reason two identical systems in parallel
(two different partitions) I eleminated one and installed Stretch.

This leafe /home untuched until I start the new version of LO,
which usually detect the old ~/.config/libreoffice/3/user/templates
at the first startup and move the templates over to the new location.
