That's an argument for another day.

Back when the systemd FLAME WAR was prominent, I followed a link to a justification link written by someone on the systemd development team.

My take-away was that systemd was aimed at *AND* had advantages for multi-user system.

I never saw anything addressing potential advantages for a specific organic user owning a discrete laptop.

Systemd *MAY* have technical advantages.
I am *NOT* qualified to say.
HOWEVER, in one sense, it is a marketing disaster.
'They' never told us, owners of single user laptops, why we should chose it.
