Specifically, 
"--screen snum
       This option selects which screen to manipulate."
          
This parameter allows reference to an extant screen.  It doesn't 
allow creation of a screen or assignment to a monitor.  
By default 0 is the only screen.

It's fairly thorough.  Many documents are worse.

Thanks.  Nice program but no mention of screen.  Also reference

A section in xorg.conf is the only way to create screen 1?
