Duron is to Athlon as Celeron is to Pentium 3, that is reduced cache, and for
some models, lower bus speed, for lower price point, besides 32 bit.

Because a Duron is a Socket A design, you could replace it with an Athlon or
early model Sempron at MHz double or more what you have now, likely for next
to free if not entirely free but for shipping and the time it takes to locate
and replace. But, Socket A does not support 64 bit chips.
