It's so long since I used it I can't remember if it must be running the 32 bit version of Debian ie 64 bit version cannot run on it?
uname -m says i686 which makes me think it is 64 bit.
Many thanks for the help here. This means that if I want to upgrade to Lenny I need to find a repository that is of the x86 32 bit variety.
