If you are committed to the truth (rather than merely the superficial facts), "90% of obese people are obese because they have an unhealthy lifestyle and diet" is nowhere near enough information, since it doesn't address why they have an unhealthy lifestyle and diet, and the glib answer (popular with people who want to deny obese people access to socialized medicine) "because they choose to" isn't *useful* in addressing the problem.
