Got it. The "Sirs" is definitely unfortunate.

Understood. From a strategic point of view it might have been more
productive to point out that (s)he is possibly forgoing answers from
some smart community members by just addressing the "Sirs". Then even
an idiot like me would've "got it" first time :-)
