Re: Missing text characters



Sorry - I give you another picture - which may shows more. The other picture I sent has got the missing text on the top panel - Terminal.

What do you expect to see in the circled areas? At what point do text
characters "disappear," or do they never appear in the first place?

It looks like you're running the "top" command inside of gnome-terminal.
On my system, while running "top" inside of gnome-terminal, the
terminal's title bar displays "louis@electron: ~" where "louis" is my
username, "electron" is my computer's hostname, and "~" is my current
directory. Is this the same on your computer? At what point does the
title bar change to read "nix    nix" ?
