The ".INIT." means that your local ntpd is in the init state trying to make the first connection to the upstream time servers. It has never been able to contact them. That is why all of the later numbers are all zeros. The "st" stratum level is maxed at 16. They are being polled at the minimum time of every 64 seconds. The reach field indicates they have never been reached. Network connectivity appears to be a problem for your system. Bob
