A dictionary is a book of words, you should be searching a book of
phrases.

Also, a phrase is very vague. There are quotations which could come
under the category of phrases.

Not at all, you've just got to look in the right place.

Sure, coup is a word, and "coup d'etat" is an example of its usage.

You might be better off bringing up any concerns with the content of the
dict package(s) with the upstream contributors.

P.S. Just becareful regarding the differences between English and
American English.
