Not for novices - maybe I'm not being clear. It is not easy for novices
to figure this out on a strange OS. You expect them to do an expert
install to do this?

Well I hope it's not Xfce4 - can't imagine people coming to Debian from
say Windows wanting that choice. Gnome-Shell is becoming quite mature
and it just works.

As I mentioned not on the net-install, I've had no problem with a full
DVD 1 install, on other boxen.
