I'm not going to count how many posts kept exactly to these topics but
thread drift rapidly set in and opinion (rather than any technical
arguments) prevailed. If that is "absolutely ok" this list is heading
rapidly towards irrelevance.

If you cannot determine for yourself what takes the thread away from its
primary purpose why should we act as minders for what you write?

It is a user list ; but not one on which anything goes. Having the word
"debian" in its title clues you in.
