I don't think anybody disputes that aptitude might give better results in some cases. It's just that apt-get is recommended for upgrades between releases. Upgrading testing or sid on a regular basis might pose different problems than a release upgrade. If aptitude works for you, feel free to use it. J. -- I count my partner's eyelashes.
