First:

   setxkbmap -print

Then:

   setxkbmap -option terminate:ctrl_alt_bksp

Finally:

   setxkbmap -print

It would be useful to see the outputs of the first and third commands
and know whether <ctrl>-<alt>-<backspace> works to close X.
