This indicates that the RAM capacity of your laptop is already utilized.
What lets you think it can use 8 gb of RAM?

The laptop can only use SODIMM (see "Form Factor" in the output of dmidecode).
Whether it is DDR3 is not shown, for the keyword "Type" it says "<OUT OF SPEC>".
To determine this, a look at the built-in memory would help. Alternatively, the
output of memtest86+ shows the memory type.
