Network Manager icon not working well

Hi, 
   I am facing a problem,my network manager icon is not working,whenever i plug out my Ethernet cable,
   it's icon doesn't changes and shows i am still connected.


is there any service which monitors status of Ethernet and changes Network manager's icon on gnome-control-panel?

please help.
