Then don't be lazy and write *two* separate posts, each of them in their 
own list where they pertain: if you wnat to ask a question, to debian-
user, if you wnat to test your message format, to debian-ml-test ;-)

Because doing what you suggest will result in a mailing list (this) full 
of trash and unuseful posts that helps nobody. And remember that all of 
the posts are archived to the posterity.

That's why a dedicated mailing list for testing is aimed for, to filter 
out the noise of empty/unrelated messages and keeping the rest of the 
mailing lists clean.
