try sgfxi
after stopping gdm3 with below command as root
/etc/init.d/gdm3 stop
while connecting to the internet, from terminal, use below commands:
cd /usr/local/bin
wget -Nc smxi.org/sgfxi
chmod +x sgfxi
sgfxi
