Hi! The command is:
dpkg-deb -x fglrx-driver_11-5-0panayk2_amd64.deb ${dirname}
For convenience I attach the extracted file. Please move it to
/etc/ati/control and restart the xserver.

Not readable as in gibberish or as in permission denied? The first is
normal, the second would be the source of our problem.
