Sound for Intel 82801DB-ICH4
Dear Debian-user,
Please could you help me get sound working on this laptop? It's a phillips
freeline X10.
I have no sound, whatsoever. I have recently tried installing pulseaudio
on the laptop to see if that helped. Pavucontrol shows that it thinks it's
outputting something (the volume meters fluctuate) when playing a wav in
totem, for example, but no sound. The card is present in
/proc/asound/cards and the appropriate kernel module appears to be loaded.
As a note of encouragement I HAVE had this sound card working previously -
on an old mandriva install - so I know it can work, unfortunately I'm also
daft enough not to save every config file in sight.
I had a crack at getting sound working on debian 5 (currently debian 6 is
on here, I think that's "wheezy" but really I just wish everybody stuck to
numbers) but to no avail. Here's the thread:

I've attached the output of alsa-info.sh (is this attachment too large for
a list? I don't know).
If anyone has any ideas I'll be very grateful.
