Maybe it's not required if your DNS server provides all the information 
for setting up the network interface.

It is installed with package "isc-dhcp-client" in squeeze, in 
lenny with "dhcp3-client". In fact I have two of those files 
installed in my squeeze system, one under "/etc/dhcp/dhclient.conf" 
and other in "/etc/dhcp3/dhclient.conf".
