Description: The GNOME Desktop Environment
This is the GNOME Desktop environment, an intuitive and attractive desktop.

This package depends on the standard set of applications that are part of the
official GNOME release. It provides much of what is necessary for daily use of
a personal computer, including web browsing, email, CD burning and ripping,
encryption tools, audio and video playback, network and communication tools,
document viewers, remote desktop utilities, and much more.

2.22 is in, not 2.24. Only some 2.24 packages are installed.

The provided link below showing status of 2.24 shows "desktop-environment" at
2.24.3 and its color code reads: Not up-to-date, lagging by a minor version

Sorry, Mr. Long - I saw no dep issues but you were right, 2.24 is
not installable. And this is BS:

why this tease?
