Re: Touchpad hangs on Lenny

Hey, Ivan, you high-jacked my thread. If you want to get some
intelligent traffic on your question you should start a new thread. I
see you are using Evolution as you MUA. I don't know Evolution, but
I'm sure it does have a way for you to start a new thread for your
new topic. Don't select 'Reply' or 'Reply to list' while you have
an email that is a response to my thread selected.

Understand, I don't really mind having your email burried in my
thread. But there are lots of readers of this list who have no
interest in my particular problem (I'm thankful that a few do), and
have stopped looking at this thread. You will reach a MUCH wider
audience, if you start your own thread with you own Subject:.

Don't know what a 'thread' is? It's hard for me to give a good short
answer, but it's important to know. Use google, wikipedia, etc.

To start a new thread in my MUA, I just give the email a new Subject:
and address it directly to the list, not as a reply to something I
see on my screen.

(In re. the on-going discussion of top vs bottom post, this is surely
an occasion for top, regardless of the known cultural disposition for
bottom here.)
