Hey,
been there already, got the source [glib1.2_1.2.10.orig.tar.gz] build it and... no libglib1.2ldbl anywhere...
That's why I was looking for a repository that had it. What repos are you using with aptitude.
I have a minimal debian install on a samllform PC with XCFE (or something like that) as X.
