Re: External USB HD showing up late in /dev

	This looks like some kind of race condition between kernel and
udev, but I don't really understand why udev doesn't pick on the new

to add WAIT_FOR="/dev/exthd1" to my udev rule, but it didn't help.

I don't have that problem and I'm using a 700GB external HDD, but I use
UUID in fstab, this is my fstab:

UUID=83D8-C147 /home/jimmy/1-Windows vfat uid=1000,gid=1000,auto,rw,users 0 0

UUID=2d07c642-9322-4245-b84e-0ad185e47b9f /home/jimmy/2-Linux ext3 users,atime,auto,rw,nodev,noexec,nosuid 0 0

First as Superuser I use the command "blkid" to get the UUID's.
