How is your keyboard configured? Please post the output of these two
commands (you can run them in a non-X terminal, e.g. CTRL+ALT+F1):
awk '/Section "InputDevice"/,/EndSection/' /etc/X11/xorg.conf
grep -i keyboard /var/log/Xorg.0.log
