Oops, lets keep this on the list.

You could upgrade to Lenny (testing), or you could compile
your own kernel, or you might be able to use say, an Ubuntu
kernel. Or stay with 2.6.18 and use madwifi. Lenny has been
frozen pending release for a while now, so it should be safe
to use.

My first choice would be to upgrade, and my second would be
to use madwifi, but that is just me. It is up to you.
