This is a misunderstanding: The modprobe command is used to load kernel
modules; there is no kernel module called "nv". The xorg driver module
called "nv" should be loaded automatically when xorg is started and a
supported graphics card is detected. You posted the relevant line from
the xorg log earlier which suggests that the module is loaded without
problems.
