running:

	ls -lR /var/* 2>&1 | awk '/^\// {  curr_dir=$0 } /^[^\/tl]/ {if 
($3!="root")  print curr_dir " " $0}' >  ~/non_root_vars

in file 't', i get:

	kloro@debian:~$ ./t
	./t: line 1: /bin: is a directory

and no 'non_root_vars' in my home.
