Re: Issues with ethernet in testing/lenny

Sorry that I didn't respond earlier. However, I do not have a
subscription and have tried various ways of responding (last one
I tried was USENET... but I was rejected by the moderation) but
I guess this will do. Please CC messages to me in the future.
Sorry I didn't mention that earlier.

Anyway, to Wayne Topa...

This file does not exist :-/ Simply is not there.

To Douglas Allan Tutty...

There are no eth lines at all. However, there are no errors when
the module loads.

lspci is not yet installed, I'll be installing that and will post the results
of that in my next email. Ditto for the lsmod advice that I snipped out.

Thanks for the sample config files.

Thanks Nigel. I'm not 100% sure what the propper nettiqute is
for responding to a list that I'm not subscribed to. I guess I'll
just copy/paste responses from the list archives when I remember
to check.

But replying to a CC is much easier so if anyone responding could
CC messages to me that would be great. Thanks.

Anyone know the details of this bug in Ubuntu? From memory, the
module I'm running is version 7.3 (which was straight from the
netinstall) Should I compile 7.6 (the current version of the module)
and try it out?
