Really? I've been using GNOME in Sid since just after Potato went
Stable, and have *rarely* (and I truly mean *rarely*) seen GNOME to
be broken.
In fact, I don't remember it ever being unusably broken.
X was broken for a few days during the 6.9-7.0 transition, and
Evolution has been broken a few times, though.
