The problem in large text files with wrapped paragraphs, each "line" can be quite long, so even -C1 gives a big block before and after. But it's better than nothing.
If you look at that file in a binary editor, you'll probably see that those "wrapped paragraphs" are actually single "lines" that your text editor is wrapping for you.
