You didn't mention what version. That would have helped.
I had a problem. in Testing on the amd64, that if I went to a console,
X died. That was before I upgraded to fluxbox 1.0~rc3-1. I don't
have any problems with fluxbox, now.

It is easier to change the specification to fit the program than vice
versa.
