I really hope not, because that is why I "escaped" to Debian. This problem of mine (partially already solved) is so "windows like", although I started to think that my ISP has something to do with it. It all worked just fine for two months and then suddenly it doesn't work any more.
probably your network uses static IP addresses and your box has no dns
availables.
Use win to look at: IP addr/dns/gateway
  
I've done this as Christophe suggested and now I can connect again. I'm 100% sure that my network uses dynamic IP, I've checked it before and my desktop computer happily uses DHCP and has different IP every time I start it.
The funny part is that when I looked at the IP it looked familiar and is probably the static IP address I had before I moved to new apartment. The ISP is the same and I started to think that my MAC address is somehow still connected to my old static IP address.
