That's exactly what happened and unfortunately I can't gain any access to the router. Default factory settings allow you to access the router at 192.168.1.1 however nothing I do gives me access to this IP so a firmware upgrade is near impossible at this stage. The thing about the routers in specific is the power adapters that come with these things. I have my PCs on a UPS but my DSL and Router are on live power simply because I can't find a UPS in my country that has two-pin plug inputs.
