Yes, mplayer, mplayerplug-in and the codecs from mplayer's site.  
Quicktime works, windows media works,  but Realplayer, either itself or 
through mplayer, just will not work.  Ahh, well - so it goes.  I give 
up.  Thanks again for trying to help.
