It's a political one. As has been told to you repeatedly economic freedom
is personal freedom. When you tell people what they can and cannot do with
their possessions then you are restricting their freedom. It doesn't get much
simpler than that.
Oh, and your Qwest example is a prime example of why central government
doesn't work. The problem wasn't a private company, the problem was a
monopoly. If Qwest hadn't owned the lines in your building... Set the
government up as a monopoly and you have the same problem. The difference is
a government has the force of law, coercion and execution on its side.
Business actually has to attempt to keep you happy or you, and everyone else,
can stop sending it money.
