Printer (Brother DCP110C) no longer works

I have a Brother DCP110C. Right after I got it, I was able to get it printing by installing Brother's dcp110clpr-1.0.2-1.i386.deb driver.

That was a couple of months ago. Now, whenever I turn on the printer, I get this message displayed on the screen and in dmesg:

hub.c: new USB device 00:10.1-1, assigned address 2
usb.c: invalid descriptor length of 0
usb.c: unable to get device 2 configuration (error=-22)
hub.c: new USB device 00:10.1-1, assigned address 3
usb.c: invalid descriptor length of 0
usb.c: unable to get device 3 configuration (error=-22)
hub.c: new USB device 00:10.1-1, assigned address 4
usb-uhci.c: interrupt, status 2, frame# 1795
usb.c: USB device not responding, giving up (error=-84)
hub.c: new USB device 00:10.1-1, assigned address 5
usb.c: USB device not responding, giving up (error=-84)
hub.c: new USB device 00:10.1-1, assigned address 6
usb-uhci.c: interrupt, status 2, frame# 1317
usb.c: USB device not responding, giving up (error=-84)

It seems that the printer is not being recognized at the USB connection level. Can anyone help me get my printer back to working?

My system info:
Debian 3.1r3
Kernel 2.4.27
